The church is not a building: it is the people. There is nothing like a group of people who love God and love each other. No, we're not a perfect church. We're a normal group of people who have our share of struggles. But we have God, and we have each other. And together we desire to grow. We desire to grow in our relationships with others. We also desire to grow by reaching out to those who need a closer relationship with God and with others. We love praising and worshiping our Great God. We enjoy learning practical truths from God's Word. We're excited about life and Serving an awesome God. Jesus died for the church. He calls the church His bride. He passionately loves the church, and so do we!

The mission of Perry Baptist Church is to lovingly reach lost people and

Values Statement
The following statement expresses what is important to us as a church. We are not a perfect church, but the following is what we are striving for.
We are committed to the supremacy of God
In all we do, we strive to do it for the glory of God. He means everything to us: our joy and satisfaction are found only in Him. Because we love Him, we strive to obey Him as authentic Christians, and all of our worship and service is directed to Him. Because Christ reveals the Father, we are passionate about knowing Christ more, and being like Him.
We are committed to the Holy Scriptures and prayer
God has also revealed Himself to us through His love letter, His Word. Because the Bible is the Word of God, it is our final authority. Because of its power to transform lives, we are committed to the expository preaching and teaching of God’s Word in a relevant and practical way to minister to the needs of people today, to help them grow in Christ, and to provide a solid doctrinal foundation. We have also resolved to be a praying church, recognizing that the help and power to do God’s work comes only from Him.
We are committed to reaching people for Christ
We will do all we can to reach out to people who are away from God with the good news of God’s love. We will build relationships with unbelievers, because we care about them. We will be sensitive to seekers, patiently allowing them time to come to saving faith in Jesus Christ. We will do all we can to participate in and financially support biblical world missions.
We are committed to being a united, close community
We desire to grow deep in our love for one another. Loving relationships should permeate every aspect of church life. We value reaching out to others, accepting them and including them. We strongly encourage everyone to be part of a small group as an important way to build friendships, care for each other, share our lives, and minister as a team.
We are committed to a mobilized congregation
We believe people are God’s gifts to the church. We will help believers find fulfilling ministry by teaching them how to follow the Spirit’s leading and discover their spiritual gifts, and then training them to use those gifts to competently serve God and advance His kingdom. Because leadership is so critical to the health of a church, we will work to develop godly leaders.
We are committed to meaningful worship
We design services to be meaningful to the new believer and the mature believer, as well as being sensitive to the seeker. We keep our worship fresh by singing the newer worship songs, but we also cherish our Christian heritage by singing the great hymns of the faith that have been a blessing for many years.
We are committed to ministering to the family
We seek to build strong marriages and strong families. We are committed to strong youth and children’s programs.
We are committed to excellence and grace
We believe excellence honors God and inspires people. We desire to honor God with high quality programs and up-to-date, clean, and attractive facilities. After all, God gave us His best (His only Son). We also desire to carry on our ministry with the grace that characterized the ministry of Christ.
